I made a larger scale vertical coin sculpture. The outer side of the coin rings is made from brown paper spattered with the colours that are seen in money notes.
I love the shadows that the piece make against the black and white backdrop.
I then placed the first sculpture piece behind the new one and created the mixed shadows.
Interlinking each coin shape creates a new movement in the coins. I got this idea from a pile of coins left on the table that were overlapping.
