Bloggers,
We got the project title "Movement and Motion", so ive decided to stray from the norm of body, wind, water and I am now doing my project on the "Movement and Motion" of Money.
Im planning on showing the journey from the beginning of money...trade,barter.. to electronic forms and creations out of money. In China money has holes through the centre so that it can be worn on a necklace and in some tribes such as the Kayan tribe Thailand wear gold rings around their necks which show beauty and wealth- find a husband with lots of money?
I have made a few copies of coins using filler and painted them to look like the original.
At the minute I am drawing up a picture to show how the use of money has come about- trade fish for corn or something like that! I will be posting another small blog by the end of this week again- I have to try and keep on top of it! In Dublin in the "National Museum of Ireland-Collins Barracks" there is an exhibition that shows some of the money that was used from the 10th Century to date, I hope to travel up to it in the next few weeks and may put up a few blog posts after it!
