Sculpture suspended

I created a sculpture with wall filler and another few with caramel, I then suspended them from a frame which I painted skin colour to resemble the pulling and pinching !

Creating my Sculpture piece*

 I was searching in Sculpture magazines in the Library and found these images which helped guide me in way in which my sculpture was going.

 I drowned muslin in a pvc and skin colour brown to acrylic to create the pulling skin shape.

Blurry, Pinch, Screeching.

 Creating my mood boards with a garment resembling the chosen word, a swatch associated with it too and a designer or artist or scientist and an image.

 I took primary photographs to portray the words I chose.

 With pinch, the 3 action words were pulling, squeezing and shaking. I created the swatch by pouring hot caramel onto calico and then pinched into it before it fully dried- creating the image.

The swatch in Screeching was done by stretching yarn over nylon/polyester resembling the strain in vocal chords. I then splattered paint resembling the spray of saliva exerting from a screech and then covered in latex.

Fashion mood board project

Through using the 5 senses; touch, taste, smell, sound, sight, we then discovered words that we associated with the words. Through process of elimination and selections I decided on the 3 mains words, Blurry, Pinch, Screeching.
