Fashion Elective.

On moday we were given the brief with which we chose a selection of words that we could interperate and create analitical drawings from. I chose the words "Flimsy/ Ethereal/ Fuzzy".

At first I thought to develop the idea of a flower but I got more involved with the bulb or seed of the plant instead.
We had to draw and research our chosen theme and subject. We then had to pull shapes out of the image. Shapes that appealed to us and could get a nice overall result from.

Print Elective, mini project.

We were given the brief of "Clutter" in the second week of the elective. To portray "Clutter" I decided to use the kitchen sink's draining board. The endless amounts of cutlery and dishes pile up continuously each day. I chose to show "clutter" through the processes of monoprint and drypoint.

Print Elective

We were given the project brief "defining our space" with which I chose to use my studio space. I portrayed how I invaded and changed my space through personal interaction and incorporated what I believe makes me. Through the processes of drypoint and monoprint, I explored the nature of space in my immediate environment. By adding the little things in life that make me happy like Coca-Cola and my Car amongst other objects I feel that I have altered, occupied, understood and personalised my space.

By creating a layered paper ball and cutting out the various sizes of coins (done in ratio to original size), I wanted to show the way in which light would shine through and create shadows!

Material forms

To show the movement and motion of money in the form of a circular shape, I used material I had and inserted different sizes of circular aluminium foil into pouches I formed in the material. This shows the 3 dimensional way in which fabric can take on.
